I vaguely remember an old comic story about miniature people living in someone's body and controlling it with levers etc. I recall little men looking through the eyes with telescopes and the men in the stomach getting 'rained on' when the person had a drink. Can anyone remember this? Can anyone remember the name or any details? I suspect that over the yeras my imagination has embelished the original idea.

No it hasn;t embellished it - I remember it too. what comic and the name escapes me.
The Numskulls? just gonna see if I can find out what the comic was.
yes it was and it was the Beezer.
Having looked at the wikipedia link, it would seem it was The Beezer and The Beano. I used to love the numskulls. I vividly remember one episode when the character gets a fishbone stuck in his throat and so eats a piece of bread to clear it. One of the numskulls then fashions a ladder from the bread and climbs down the ladder to dislodge the bone. Great stuff!

Many thanks - just off to Wikipedia if the men in my brain allow!
I remember the numbskulls, though I thought they were in the Topper. Maybe wrong though.
Spookily, someone in Hollywood seems to have read some old Brit comics: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0765476/
