In the late fifties I received a book, probably published by Odhams. It was a sort of annual, a compendium of stories, poems and historical facts. The article I remember best was a strip cartoon of historical events with accompanying doggerel eg. You might have seen Julius Caesar arrive if you'd lived in BC55. There was also the story of Lord Nithsdale's escape from prison. I'd love to know the name of the book, as I've lost my copy.
