What are the happy/unhappy faces that sort of symbolise theatre called? If they don't have a name what could I search for on google image search to find some? Thanks.

they represent comedy and tragedy, most of which plays are based on. not sure that there is an official name for them aside from this, but someone may prove me wrong.
and just doing a search for those very words, comedy and tragedy, found me this site - hope its what you're after
