My 50th Birthday - thank you JK Rowling for a really great, super, tremendous, wonderful birthday present. And I've got a week off work !

Oh my goodness - I didn't realise they'd announced the release date. I've been out all day, then spent two and a half hours at parents evening, went to the chippy (too tired to cook) and just eaten that. Just googled and found it's July 21st. Plenty of time to read it before I go on my hols three weeks later then! Thanks for letting me know jessiedog.

What a great gift! I am so excited; it's in HUGE letters in my diary, and I WILL be queuing at midnight to collect it. Another sleepless night!

I'm really hoping that a local shop will be open to sell it at midnight, otherwise it will be a late night/early morning dash to large town. So looking forward to it but also with regret as there will be no more.
