Where can I find a full English listing of the contents of past editions of the periodical Novyi Mir. I'd really like to find out if any of the editions I have are worth anything

This was first published in 1925 so the contents archives are huge. The Michigan State University Library in the States has archive records of the contents going back to 1926 but they are only published in Russian on the net. You could try contacting them and asking if they have an English translation (www.lib.msu.edu) or sending an email to Novyi Mir publishers
Novyi Mir (New World) was published in New York from 1911 to 1938 by the Russian Socialist Publishing Association in Russian & English. Many US universities have electronic copies in their libraries some of which are available on the web. I believe that since 1938 it has only been published in Russian. I would think that your best bet for establishing value of any old editions is to consult an antiquarian bookseller or speak to one of the larger auction houses. My guess is that they will be of little value unless you have some of the earliest editions and then only if they are in mint condition, or a large run of consecutive editions.
