horror story help.... again

Right, I'm getting reeeeeeeely frustrated now.

I posted a while ago about a story I had read. A short story, about these creatures which appeared overnight in people's rolled up newspapers etc. These things were a bit like rats and killed by leaping into your mouth and chewing their way through and out of your bum. Nice.

Anyhoo, someone suggested the Richard Laymon book "Flesh" but on buying it, I find it was not that one. Similar, but not quite right. Plus, as I said, what I read was a story, not a whole novel.

Anyone, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?????

The author WAS Richard Laymon, but it is a short story as I thought, called "Bad News".
