Robert L. Stevenson???

I live in Leven in Fife, Scotland. While at primary school my teacher told me that Robert L. Stevenson wrote part of one his books while holidaying in Leven. Does anyone know if this is true?

I would imagine if it was true, there would be a reference to it in the history of your village
