One of the posts below reminded me of a magazine I used to read when i was young, I'm 99% it was called "Misty" it had lots or scary, horror type stories in it. Lots of ghosts and vampires and stuff. I had just read Dracula for the first time, and was going througha bit of a "gothic" phase. Thing is I 've never found anyone else who read it. Did anyone here?

I will admit to it....my mother had a few of the annuals. And they were quite scary...Then I started reading Eagle and poor old Misty was forgotten

AH JD, you are a star !! lol Thanks.
What I dont get though is, it says it only ran from 1978 til 1980! I was only 3 in 1980! How strange, wonder where I was getting them from?? never mind it's brought back memories cheers for that
They brought a series of Misty comics out in the early eightees (as well, if they had already done so in the seventies). Only ran to about six issues. I still have them all in my attic.
That brings back memories! I loved Misty, and used to give myself nightmares reading it before bed. There was a fortune-telling pull-out in one edition that I kept for years afterwards. I was sorry to see it go, but was embarking on my 'Jackie' phase by then. Ah, those were the days.
Hey Cat, I adored the Misty mag, it was brilliant :-)

Great wasn't it Boo??? Much better than the other rubbish that was around lol
I loved reading Misty! My mum had some of the annuals and I loved reading them! I have just started to collect them myself, a trip down nostalgia lane! ;o)

I couldn't wait till the day the misty magazines came in each week at the newsagent. And when everyone else was into the teen music mags, i was into the creepy misty mags. it was easy to find in the newsagents here so it must have been popular. just found my old annual from 1981 and even though very musty and smelly, am going to read it cover to cover (i'm 38) and hang on to it for my daughter. saying the above though, it was stored with the 1979 blue jeans annual - don't think i'll be hanging on to that one ...
