Hello lovely people! (New here)

I want to start writing a new story, maybe even a book. It will be set in an alternate universe with some creatures that have to make your wishes come true when you see a shooting star.

Now I'm looking for a name for those creatures and some rules they have to follow when making those wishes come true.

I thought of the possibility that there will be evil and good creatures, who can and cannot kill respectively. But I need more rules for them.

I would love to read your suggestions for names and rules.

Thank you.

Hi

Welcome to The Answerbank.

While your question is as welcome as any other, I fear that you might not find many people to help you directly here. Most of the 'regulars' on this site tend be of 'mature' years and probably not the sort of people who read (or write) fantasy fiction. So most of us are going to be completely out of our depth within the specialist field that you're considering going into.

That doesn't mean that we don't want to help though. I hope that I might be able to so by suggesting that you post on one (or both) of these specialist forums, where you're far more like to encounter people with similar interests:

Good luck with your writing!
(That reminds me: I really ought to finish off the novel I've been working on for years!)
I also can be of no help to you, being another moderator, I can only suggest you look at the links provided by Buenchico and wish you well in your endeavours.

Nice one Walter!
can I also suggest that you go and look at the NaNoWriMo website? They run a write a novel in a month event every November and also boot camps and challenges throughout the year. They are also on facebook. The forum is excellent for help, advice and suggestions.
