I was told today about a good book set in Wales. Has some quite sad reflections on life in a mining community but I'm not sure that that is the basis of the story, or even if it is fiction. A bit of a classic by the sounds of things. Had a typically Welsh sounding tittle like "Land of my Fathers" or "Children of the Valley's". The gent telling me about it also mentioned he is 68 and it sounded like he studied it at Uni so guessing it must be a book of the 60's. Definitely a male author. Any suggestions please.
