Does anyone remember this book? I read it in the 1960s and found it very spiritual and meaningful, until I discovered he was in fact a milkman from Dorset or something similar!

I have read it and still read through it randomly.

"until I discovered he was in fact a milkman from Dorset or something similar! "

I don't understand your post; is him being a milkman from Dorset has any relevancy to the contents of the book itself?
Perhaps people went off him when it was revealed that his claimed identity, and the claims he made in his books, turned out to be total tosh.
Oh my goodness! What a huge mistake I've made here - I noticed the author's name and responded. I was referring to his book 'You Forever'. I have this one and find it quite interesting.

I have heard of The Third Eye but have not read it. I am sorry...
He was actually born Cyril Hoskin, the son of a plumber from Plympton in Devon.

However,I don't think it matters who or where he came from really.
I have read several of his books, and I am afraid that I agree with heathfield, they turned out to be nothing but pseudo spritual tosh.
