can anyone recommend a book from popular polish author???

was thinking of dipping into some Polish writing...can anyone recommend an author/book....looking for something current.....this will be my first.....

Before this question slips off the page and I forget it, I don't know any actual Polish authors, but one of my favourite authors - Graham Masterton - "has been Poland's bestselling author of supernatural thrillers since the collapse of communism". As such, a lot of his stuff is available in Polish; "The Chosen Child" is set in Poland. Though my favourites are "Black Angel" (very violent at the beginning), "Mirror" and "The Walkers". Not sure which are available in Polish.

He and his (Polish) wife seem to go there a lot, so it might be worth asking on his website for author recommendations.
