Can anybody tell me the Latin inscription that runs around the sundial? We saw glimpses of it in a film the other evening, but we can't put it together.

One side reads 'posui deum adjutorum meum' - I have made God my helper

Another side reads 'gratia deum mecum' - by the grace of God with me.

Another side I can't make out properly but seems to be 'est reposita justitiae corona' - a crown of righteousness is stored up - which seems to be a paraphrase of 'reposita est mihi corona justiti' -a crown of righteousness is stored up for me

Apparently there are a couple of books/ pamphlets on the sundial by someone called Philip Pattenden

Thanks very much for that. The pictures we saw were not very clear and we could not make out all the letters.
