Christ of St John Of the Cross by Dali

I need to find an article from a journal about this painting for an essay. Does anyone know of a site that can give me any information?

This painting hung for many years in the City Museum and Art Gallery at Kelvingrove in Glasgow. I believe it has been moved to the St Mungo Museum which is devoted to religion and its role in art and society. They may have more info.

The painting has been moved back to Kelvingrove last year when it re-opened. Glasgow museums should be able to help. incidentally it doesn't have anything like the same impact where it's now hanging as before in kelvingrove or in st mungo's. absolutely magnificent painting though.

My dad worked for many years in Kelvingrove and appeared on the front page of the Glasgow Herald with the Dali when it was moved to St. Mungo's as he was responsible for it's transportation and hanging. He also assisted with it's restoration when it was vandalised, the main restorer being his workmate and close friend .
Sadly, both men have passed in the last twelve months but my dad was able to see the Dali in it's new position back at Kelvingrove. It is still far and away the most popular piece in any of Glasgow's museums and anytime someone mentions it as their favourite I feel so proud of my dad and 'uncle' and the work they did.
I may be able to find out more info if there is anything specific you would like to know, no promises though.
