Called up to friend to look at her cordless hoover - no, it wouldn't do me - Dyson - you have to keep your finger pushed on the button the whole time and with my bad arms can't do it.
Anyway husband followed me out to my car and told me he would love a dog but he was afraid to tell the wife. Begged me not to tell her which of course I wouldn't.
The wife visits me and I have to put Maxie out so she doesn't like dogs and her home is immaculate so won't be too pleased.
I say he should tell her - what would be your opinions - thanks all.
As her husband I'd assume he knows quite well that his wife doesn't like dogs and would never want one (based on you having to put yours out). Maybe he doesn't want her to know his secret longing in case it upsets her. He doesn't need to tell anything.
JJ could you suggest to him that he volunteers to walk dogs from a local Rescue Centre? That shouldn't bother his wife and he would enjoy spending the time with the dogs and RC's are always needing more dog walkers.
Well he told me that he wants the dog for his grand-son who is mildly autistic. We only had a brief time at my car so I wasn't going to probe - the whys and wherefores.
Personally I don't think it will happen but they have in the past taken care of their daughter's labrador Bud - for lengthy times - so who knows.
Ummmm, the gentleman approached JJ, they had a conversation about his wish to have a dog, JJ has relayed the conversation cb, I see no problem or evidence of teenage behaviour .
I tell you what though.....I don't put my dogs out for ANYBODY. My best friend is very nervous of dogs so we meet at her house or go out somewhere. She totally understands the situation.
Ummmm - as usual you always get the wrong end of the stick - The Teenage Gentleman is 68 years old LOL
Woofgang - when I put Maxie out - if it is a bad day - it is out to the dining room usually.
Wendilla - friend let me try it out and I did wonder when I took my finger off the "trigger" - it stopped - she said it was because it was battery. Anyway will not be buying that at £200 a touch.
