Let me begin by praising the new format which appears to me to be a clear effort to provide more flexibility and transparency. I look forward to using the search facility to see if it is now more discerning and direct in its findings.

Normally I visit the site very briefly, on a whim and in a hurry, not as a regular routine. One of the features that I now realise apparently was always there and I never knew, is a way to see your own record, now My Profile. It comes as a surprise to me to see that I am on record as having had two questions and two answers banned. I cannot think what they would have been, but I know that on more than one occasion I had to go back and add a P.S. to something and AB Editor kindly (thank you) edited my first effort accordingly and deleted the then redundant P.S.

If these are what is recorded as banned then I support requests elsewhere (bernardo 23.1.05) for labelling them deleted instead. I also agree with the same person that it should be possible to clearly identify (in the list) the "banned" or "deleted" items.

Hi Karl - Some months back, I e-mailed & posted a request to AB Ed, saying that 'banned' was too harsh a word & requested changing it to 'deleted'. This was a simple request that still has not been followed up, but hopefully will be soon?

Gosh - never knew about the profile. I now see I've answered 782 questions and had 9 answers banned. Complete surprise to me. Perhaps if a post we make is banned we could be told why so we can ensure compliance in future and give us chance to reword the offending answer?
