What about an "Adults Only" section in Answerbank?

I am not sure if this question has been asked before, but can we please have a section to do with matters of an adult nature? We are all adults here, and I dare not post anything at all risky for fear of having my account terminated. The AB Editor could put a form of security to prove we were all over 18.

I hope you will take me up on my suggestion.

Are you a naughtyboy jonnyboy?
Body and Soul section contains as much risque content as is needed on here I would imagine. Using a site like this to avoid finding porn in your History on your laptop is a clever idea but ain;t likely to happen is it?
How do you know we are all adults? Schoolchildren do use this site.
What form of security do you envisage? Credit card details, perhaps?
I'm sure Squad and Craft1948 would like to host the site !!lol
Many moons ago I suggested making Chatterbank "Adults Only", as some of the threads can get a bit ooh la la, but nowt came of it.
this is a family site and kids use it for homework etc. there is an abundance of adult sites out there, for whatever needs you may have
If it was possible to implement it, I would leave the rest of the site as a family site, but restrict Chatterbank to adults only.

Don't know how it could be done, though.
If there were an Adults Only site , would all the posts have to be in joined up writing?
I'm not sure what purpose it would serve.
This site is for swapping information, sharing experiences and asking advice.........all of it either general or specific, but not explicit.

I agree with, steg, if you need to discuss 'Adult' themes, you may be better off seeking a different site.
Jack, lots of the stuff posted in Chatterbank is, IMO, not suitable for youngsters to read.

Most of the regulars in CB are, as far as I know, adults anyway. Mind you, two of my nieces occasionally look in and have read stuff on CB that I would rather they didn't. Don't think there is a way to restrict it to adults only though.
Or maybe Mrs C the so called adults behaved as such instead of over-grown five year olds?
Good idea B00, but probably even more difficult to implement!
if it was made Adult Content there would be more trouble than weve seen on CB to date - its asking for trouble
As B00 so sagely says, this site is fine..........it's some of the people using it that is the problem.

In their haste to sign-up to join AB, they neglected to read and digest the Site Rules......and as following those rules seems to seriously crimp their on-site personas, they don't bother.
Porn or abuse would still be banned, of course. I wouldn't want to see CB any more explicit than it already is. As it is now, I think it should be restricted to adults only.
For example, there's a thread on Chatterbank at the moment, called 'How many of you would like to screw your neighbour?'

This does not particularly offend me - but this is the sort of chat I would class as adult chat. I think it is fine between most of the folk on CB (I think the majority of us are adults) but I would not want my young nieces reading it.

And before anyone says it - I know they see far worse. I am just expressing my preferences here.

redman.......I want a word with you......
not any more Mrs C, i think the Ed deemed it in violation of Site Rules and quite rightly so.it is not needed on this site
Has it been pulled off, steg?
yes Mrs C,, the post has gone but the user has not been banned tho'. Good decisions by the Ed team
