It probably wasn't actually banned; it's just fallen foul of AB's pathetic system.

Every evening (particularly at weekends) lots of questions appear in the 'unanswered questions' pane but, when you click on them, the page with the question on doesn't exist.

It happened a short while ago to a question (intended for the 'Road Rules' subsection) about HGV speed limits, and there have been several others like that tonight. Yesterday somebody tried at least four times to post a question about using PayPal to purchase food; the questions kept appearing in the 'unanswered questions' pane, but they never showed up in 'Food & Drink'.

I've contacted the technical team about this in the past, but they simply attributed it to people getting banned. (That's clearly absolute rubbish, since you've not been banned and I very much doubt that people posting questions about speed limits or PayPal have been banned).

I'll send the techies a link to this thread, but don't hold your breath for any improvements!

Howdy pink!

I wonder if some posts get banned in error. I once asked a question that was not offensive or in the wrong category, but it got banned.

I emailed the Ed to ask why, but didn't get a reply. (No surprise there).

thanks buenochino but on my profile it says removed as banned
mardWinter-----there is no need for that type of reply to a perfectly good question .You should be banned for language like that which is totally out of order in this case.

oh thanks mrs C
mard winter do you feel better blowing out other peoples candles so yours can shine??
its a pity you feel the need to be offensive to other users.
could we all make a point of just ignoring the above poster.....it thrives on ANY attention.
Hi PT:

I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that the people who posted those HGV and PayPal questions have also found that AB's system has 'banned' their questions (increasing their 'banned' total on their profile), due to a technical error rather than due to any actual objections to the posts.

Anyway, I've already sent my moans, with a link to this thread, to AB's techies. (On some evenings, 20 or 30 questions can appear in the 'unanswered questions' pane, but never make it to the relevant sections).
