For the past two or three weeks I've been getting an awful lot of error messages when clicking links on AB. A new window opens up saying "This is an error page. Please contact the system administrator." What's that about?

It's (almost certainly) about AB's techies playing about, trying to get a new window to open (for advertising purposes) when you click on links. As yet, there's no advertising to display, so you just see an error message.

Chris
I'm getting that too. I thought I'd disabled pop-ups, so perhaps the techies are trying to find loopholes... in which case I'll be asking Chris how to plug them.

Oh yeah that's right, I remember now, there was an ad in that window the other day - I'd forgotten. Thanks Chris.

(jno are you by any chance Sophie Tucker...? ;-)
Yip, it's advertising.

For the first time today, I've had full advertising pages instead of an error page.
Same as MWB...

I'm getting online bingo pages popup sometimes now instead of the error....
Been meaning to post the same - I just get the error
I get a combination of both error pages & advertisements ...it's annoying when you think you have them disabled.
I get the same as Robinia,
The ones that have something on them are eithe holidays,or insurance or ISP ads,or error pages.
They are a nuisance, because like Robinia my Pop Up Blocker does not recognise them (probably because it sees them as just another AB page?)
We could ask Mr Ed later this afternoon.............
I dont get any of that..?I dont use a firewall either..my theory is,let all the viruses in and they end up fighting each other.plus I charge them rent..wonders if my putta is the cause of all the problems AB has had..(:O)

No firewall...?!! Vinny... It's people like you who... erm... start swine flus and things...!

I'm not getting bingo pages Chuck. I think it's you who probably click on a lot of bingo links just generally and the AB ads pick up on that ;-)

jackthehat we were stood up weren't we...

Thanks everybody.
