The pc makes the beeps but no display. My virus protection ran out the monitor went wavey and now nothing. What can i do?

If you have access to another monitor, try that to make sure that yours isn't faulty. Also make sure that you have the latest video drivers and check what the monitor resolution is set to in Display (XP)

My computer has done this a couple of times.

Disconnect the power from the PC completely and leave it off for a twenty seconds before plugging it back in.

This lets all the circuits in the computer completely power down.
