We got a new pc 3 months ago, with vista 64 bit installed. At first the screen turning blue and then freezing wasintermittant, but has gradually become more frequent until the screen permenantly has a blue tint and still freezes at least once on every boot up.

None of the free downloads available will install, Microsoft don't seem to acknowledge the problem and the pc suppliers just refer me back to Microsoft saying its a software problem.

Can anyone help please?

take it back - don't fiddle and risk the warranty

if it's an oem version the shop is responsible for support

you could try a linux live distro like knoppix to prove the hardware

if it's ok - you are faced with resetting to factory ... if not - throw it through the shop window
