thats a first legg, you agree with me, wish i could p @p for future use.
I always value Ethel's advice but would with respect ask what is involved with a cache and cookies clearing
It's this site that's the problem, I've had no problems at all with other sites today.
Ron, every time you open a page on the web, the content gets dumped in to a cache on your hard drive - temporary internet folders.
The idea being that when you re-visit that page it opens quicker.

The trouble is it can get too full - all those little bits of information get clogged and your browser is sifting through it all.

I have an idea that AnswerBank web pages are very busy because, in part, of all those flash and java adverts.

I have my browser set to clear the cache each time I log off.

Read more about it from a more technical viewpoint:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/ howto/customizing/clearcache.mspx

That is for IE6 but I don't suppose it has changed too much.

I thought Mr Ed was a talking horse? Mind you....
Thanks Ethel for your information. I have downloaded the pages of the clickable link ( which incidentally you taught me, at some stage in AB,how to insert such a link into correspondence).

Nevertheless, although I regularly dispose of temporary internet files, there still exists, in my opinion, problems with AB which need to be given attention by the Editor and Technical staff.....Kind regards...Ron

All other sites are working fine - this site has been SLOW all day!!!
1955...Did you say slow !! The snails are moving faster in my garden,
Ron - have you tried a different browser? Everything you can think of is worth a try.

Sometimes it helps just closing AB and opening it again.
Ethel - I'm using Firefox, and it's slower than slow from this end.
My PC has had a spring clean today, yet it is still slow here.
I've had enough of this. I'm out of here folks. Goodnight!
Last night AB was soooooo slow I couldn't stay on. Like being back on dial up.

Today it's faster then it's ever been. Wow!

Zooooooooom!
I really don't think it's my Internet Explorer Browser which is at fault. Not in view of comments from other ABers who are suffering from the same complaint ; and I don't get problems on other sites. ...Ron
P.S.to my earlier posting........This should be read along with:-
