Good Morning AB-Linkers from Queen Meg! I trust that you'll are well and your weather isn't too extreme. I am thinking particular of the Ont-ices in their Canadian snow drifts and seekeerz with her hot Australasian summer season.
I have always been a lover of all animals, and (like seekeerz) have a special love of dogs. I acquired my first dog, a mongrel named Blackie, when we lived in Canada. When the time came for us to return to the UK, I issued an ultimatum: either Blackie comes (too) or I stay behind with him! He joined us on board the "Empress of England" occupying a kennel on the top deck. After docking in Liverpool, he had to stay in quarantine for 6 months.

I got my first Border Collie soon after I got married and subsequently have always had at least one and at most three in the house (not counting litters of puppies). Two are in residence now, called Meg and Susie, which explains my chosen screen name of miss meg. They came from a farm in the Lake District, where the farmer was going to destroy them as they were surplus to requirements. I was left with no option but to bring them home and adopt them as family pets. They will be 14 years old in June and old age has calmed them down slightly, but they are still capable of terrorising the local rabbits and squirrels.

I only ever had one male Collie and that was when the boys were young. He followed them everywhere and guarded them with his life. If he wasnt gnawing on a bone, he was nose to the ground tracing their tracks. He loved joining in when they played Hide and Seek. He find where each in turn was hiding and sit nearby looking wistfully at the son doing the seeking and then switching his gaze to the other sons hiding place! After several Wimbledon Tennis- type alternate head movements and the hiding place was soon discovered. He would often be banished to the house for spoiling the game!

As with the previous two weeks, I shall follow the rules relating the word length as introduced by crofter. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one or more of your attempts! Each of my selected words may go in front of or after my challenge word. The competition will officially close at 7.00pm on Sunday evening when crofter will declare my selected words, then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. Hopefully, the posting with the answers and scores will not be banned by AB!

MY fourth set of words to be linked should appear below at 9.00am.

Well pets or types of dog might just be a bit too obvious...so maybe Games?...children's games...
