For your information, I was thrown out of school at 15 (hardly goodie twoshoes i think you will agree), but have now seen the error of my ways and view the world with a much more open mind because of it.
I'm glad I've riled a few people here at least it gets the issue noticed.

There is something that I am surprised hasn't been mentioned by anyone. I would question the motives of the original poster in 'Jobs'.

Firstly the post is not a question requiring an answer. It is a statement of fact (job applicant turned down) together with an explanation.
Secondly, the OP presumably turned down many applicants for the job, but I don't see the reasons for those refusals being posted in other threads.

So, I ask myself, why was this individual singled out for being the subject of a post? Why did the OP think this applicant was worth posting about and not the others.
Since it is not a question, presumably the OP was expecting a response of some sort - probably much along the lines of what happened. I find that somewhat akin to a small child poking a stick into a wasps nest at a family picnic.

You cannot then apportion too much blame on those who rise to the bait.

gen2....in explanation of OP. I was quite surprised at this response from applicant; it would also be funny handing him his work & wages without touching. I do know muslims who do shake hands!

It could have saved a lot of probs had he worn gloves (free in petrol stns) and said he had a cut finger or such?
