I feel ashamed as I haven't vacummed the floor for a while now.I don't bother with Shake 'n' Vac.
Although we do sell it where I work, which is in a wholesaler warehouse.
You can still get it in asda and tesco.

I wonder why they stopped advertising it on the tele.

That housewife doing a little dance while she shook it on the carpet - I remember it well.

:o)
lol. Sure it must have been good exercise as well!!

I use it all the time when I vac (which is not often) but I always do a little jiggle. : - ).

Hey, thanks for that link Tigger.

I'm gonna deffo do the Shake'n'Vac this week - no more nasty niffs from my carpets!
Time to wiggle and jiggle those hips then.
Ahem, maybe I should buy some. But I wonder what smell would be the nicest?
My cats would throw a fruit loop if I started shaking that stuff all over the carpet! Lol
I was going to say that you're giving you're age away with this post, Mrs C, but then I remembered that I still expect '1001' to 'clean a big, big carpet for less than half a crown' ;-)

Anyone else as old as me out there?

Chris

(PS: Thanks for the kiss on another thread, Mrs C!)

Imo (hope you don't mind me calling you that - can never remember how to spell your name in full) - do you know what fragrances it comes in?
I'm older, Chris. :(

Half a crown! My, when I were a lass half a crown was a fortune.
Mrs C, have you ever seen The Mummy. This is Imhotep. Its a excellent film.

Chris, I remember 1001 cleaning a big, big carpet for less than half a crown!

PS: I'm feeling very affectionate tonight, so here you go with another kiss ........... mwhaaaaaaaa xx

And one for Ethel too ....... mwhaaaaaaa xx

And for all the other ABers who put a lot of effort into helping folk on here!

Hi Ethel,

You've forced me to try to think what half a crown would have bought in my youth. My only definite recollection is a trip out in a neighbour's car. He said that he needed to stop for fuel so I asked why he'd just driven straight past a filling station. I can vividly remember him complaining that that garage was far too expensive, at nearly half a crown per gallon!

Oh thank you for that extra kiss, Mrs C. Please accept a big smacker from me.

Next question: How should I celebrate? This is 10,000th post on AB!!!!!

Chris
Typical!

I get to a 'landmark post' and I miss a word out!

Oh well, c'est le vie ;-)
