Lack of notification of response to a question

I am no longer receiving notification to say that someone has posted a reply to my question. A couple of other people have said that the same thing has happened to them. Is this:
- a temporary problem,
- a change that has been made to the function of the site, or
- are there changes that I need to make to my settings?
