Why cant we have a bit of control ?

Why can't we have a programme set up so us AB ers can Ban members or remove comments on our own post.
You will still have full control it just give us a bit of control on who post on our posts.
This would help the whole site im sure other members would agree.
But who am i to ask ive only been on here a couple of weeks.

Giving users the authority to ban each other? Yea Gods, AB would be down to 3 members (all the same person!) if that was the case.

I was banned last night as dot.hawkes and DotH and DottyH, therefore there is the opportunity to temporary ban people you don't want to post on this site.

Perhaps I am not understanding this correctly, but I think mrknowall only means being able to remove any answers/ comments on our own questions rather than actually 'banning' members from the site. Quite a good idea really!

Yeah I can see the merit of being able to remove daft posts that may ruin your original question.......however.........(always a however eh?) It's still open to abuse by members. For example just suppose User A dislikes user B, User A would just be able to delete User B's replies on his or her post regardless of the reply content just because they can.
