As I understand it here, if one person posts a reply that is rude or offenseive they can be banned and that is fair, BUT it seems often that a whole thread containing good answers is often removed too. This is so wrong! Any moderator should be able to access any offensive post and edit it (and the persons remaing post is shown as "edited by moderator") or remove the persons post entirely post (and it is shown as poster Joe Bloggs "post removed by moderator") so Joe's name remains on the thread but with nothing to read. It seems that it only takes one person to reply in an abusive or hostile manner to ensure the whole thread is deleted and this is a very wrong rule.

well I might be but its the way a forum is moderated just about everywhere else and threads being left with only a few posts removed, and not the whole lot vanishing.
If you don't like it, don't post here
