You can't amend posts once they've been submitted, but there is a preview button which enables you to check text as many times as you need to before submitting.

Hope that helps.
Hmmm, you should really be checking before you post. I know the urge you may have to get the answer in before other people, but it doesnt take long to read and check what you have wrote.
If there was an edit option it would be missused. I could ask a question like"do you like beans?"
people could write , yes, no , yes, etc.
But, if i go into edit it, i could change it to "are you gay?" or do you eat snot?" or Do you smell?"(i could go on all day, but had better not) which the answers will still relate to the Q...
Precisely MrBen - there wouldn't be any point at all!

However, I do think full-throttl just wasn't quite sure how to use the preview & editing facility. ;o}
Question Author
i do know how to use the edit facility..:)

i asked the question because i was at work (where internet usage is frowned upon) and answered a question, then realised about 5 minutes later i could have added more info and more links, so then had to post again..

thanks anyway for your answers
My apologies full-throttl, although your question does read 'because I am unaware if the edit facility is available'.

On reading that, I assumed you weren't sure of how to use the edit facility, but realise you were asking whether or not it is working - I think?!

Anyway, bottom line - you still can't edit after submitting.
