new windows media player (11)

have you noticed that on the new mircosoft windows media player, where as on the old one, player 10, on the bottom iof the screen, it would tell you how many songs you had, and also how much disk space they occupied. the new media player does not show this, can any body tell me how you can ge it to show you these two things
