To cut a long story short I'm getting a tattoo on the arch at the underside of my foot. THE most sensitive part. I can't possibly back out. Am I making a mistake? Ive never had a tottoo before.

well why there? who would ever see it? Trust me, you have so many nerves in your foot!!!!!!!!!!
ouch!... have your eyes peeled instead... less painful...
well, who is forcing you into having this done and why?
ouch..sorry but really? if you dont want it dont do it. just get it somewhere else (Glutimus Maximum would be hidden too i hope)
Glutimus Maximum... wasn't he in the film Gladiator...
no he was in sparticus
I stand corrected!
....tell you what....Why don't you wait until you have the intelligence to spell the word 'tattoo' first and then make a more informed decision!
Just a thought!!!

Its only bravado that means I cant back out. When my friend got a tattoo today I teased her a bit about it not really hurting and asked the tattooist where it hurt must. After everthing I said I couldent back out. The tattoist is going to do it for free.
You could buy some ametop cream from a chemist and it will help numb the area, but getting a tattoo is something that you'll have for ever and if you need to ask if its a mistake then it probably is.
harsh... but fair 'divegirl'...
my friend had one on the top of her foot and it hurt!! i had one on my shoulder and it didnt.the problem with the bottom of your foot is that in approx 5 yrs the tatoo will become a blur and smudge in the the skin as the skins soft there in the arch,o wouldnt recommend a tattoo on the foot arch.x
Can't see the point of the pain. You wont be able to see it and neither will anyone else. I am not anti tattoos
the tatoist who did mine will not do any in sensative areas unless you have had one before he refused my daughter when she wanted her first one on her boob ,but did one on her shoulder no probs instead, she then went and had it done where she wanted
OK!! to re-cap, you are having a tattoo on the most painful part of your body that no one will see and will be blurred in a few years, dantheman are you really doing this just to make yourself look very brave or what, we all think you are a hero I'm sure!! I got loads of tats and piercings but not on the sole of my foot.

Each to their own I suppose!!
Er i'm keeping out of it !
Think your crazy, but eh, whatever floats your boat. x
LOL @ carrust :o) xx
i agree with ytrewq, if you have to ask if it's a mistake, it probably is.

a tattoo is something you need to think about...you will have it the rest of your life! so what if you can't see it, i can't see mine (it's on the back of my neck), but i love it and i'm glad i had it done. out of sight is not out of mind.

a tattoo is something that you should want to have done, not something to have done out of bravado

sometimes it takes more courage to back down - unless you want something to look at in 30 or 40 years time to remind you of how 'brave' you were doing something simply cos you didn't want to lose face.
Are you mad? Who is going to see it? you will have to keep your foot in the air with no sock on to show it off.

You are one brave person. Good luck !!!!!!!!
