I'm interested in buying a Sidekick II,however I don't want a contract phone,I would rather have a pay as you go one,but T-Mobile are only selling it on contract. I've read that you can unlock the phone to use on other networks,so I was wondering if you can unlock it and use it as a pay as you go phone,is that possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, it is possible to unlock your phone. Best thing to do though, is if you have a "local" computer shop, ask them if they are able to unlock it first. Best not to ask in Link or Vodaphone or anything like that, they just wont.

Maybe ask around and see if anyone knows anywhere that unlocks.

It's finding them thats the problem you see.

Thanks for replying,I might just get it on contract then cos it seems like a lot of hassle to unlock it!
You can buy a contract phone & unlock it ..Unlocking will release your network lock. After unlocking you can use your mobile with any network .This unlocking can be done through codes .If you need an unlocking code, get it from http://www.mobileunlocksolutions.com/ .It helps to unlock your sidekick easily.
