The only way to fly http://shop.textalk.s...?id=11328&art=2235910 ...and the movable part ensures it doesn't matter how you're handed. 'Jonas' is unsurpassed. My mother had one and I've never used any other kind. Great for carrots too:)
Hi Neti I consider myself well and truly told off :-) I don't know all the fancy names for lumps and bumps soooo sorry!!!

I have used a peeler like yours Robi for a long time. I use it on carrots too. The one you put on Kit looks really good too.

Just watched Harry Potter on ITV . Loved it. There's a child in me somewhere. int there!

Wont be late out of bed tonight I'm 'cream-crackered' Just off to watch QI on Dave for a bit and driink me cocoa.Goodnight All x
It's alright Jude .I'm going to have Neti arrested for shouting .
I'm sure we can find her a good defence lawyer .I'll sit in the public gallery and heckle :))
Sleep tight .
Nope Kit ..I can't get on with those peelers either .They all seem to swivel about and I can't get to grips with them .Carrots are OK with them 'cos it's just one downward motion.
I've given up really and am ashamed to admit I now buy things like ready diced onions , diced swede and carrot etc .And Charlotte spuds 'cos you don't have to peel them !
Good morning m'lud (just getting in practise for my trial)

I use the Robi type of peeler. Had the same blade since 1981 and kept changing the handle, but alas this month the blade was so thin it had to be put to rest. I bought a cheap one like that but with a bigger plastic handle, really whizzes on the veg. Also use it to slice cheese and chocolate.

Daughter went out to a dinner party last night, and still isn't home. We are staying in, and have ordered a delicious chicken and large portion of scrummy chips for lunch.

That Sandra Bullock film was so good, she's a bit like me, talking back to hooligans, but she gets away with it!

Good morning all another bright day here at woofgang towers. DH has come down with some kind of bug. He can sleep for England and doesn't want much to eat..anyway he's flaked out in bed so I have to keep quiet...no cleaning, laundry etcet oh dear...
Downside is that next door to us are two yappy nasty terrier type things who come to the fence and bark which set our two off so i can't have the garden door open :-(
Good morning each & every...

From where I'm standing neti I'd say you do have bumps...and... <<<bonk!>>>... <<<bonk!>>>...now you've got a couple of lumps as well.

Kit I've got a little old bentwood chair like Porker's, and I as good as found it years ago, it was £1 in a junk shop! I think it's been in every room in the house at some time or other, I had intended to paint it but never got a round tuit.
It's got a decorative part on the seat, bit like a scallop shell, it's quite effective if you sit on it with a bare behind :o)

Bit chillier & breezier today so keep ya hairnets on. Sorry I can't turn to look at you all, I've got a stiff neck. :o(. Get well soon mr woofy.

What's this place coming to? Ready sliced 'n diced veg, SENDING OUT for chicken & chips...tut...whatever next?

Lovely day again but it's still not warm enough for moi.Very breezy here and that east wind is chilly .
I've been looking at those Oxo good grips peelers and they've got good reviews but I'm still not convinced .I mean.... look at the state of this apple :)

Roast beef today so I'll have to go and peel some spuds :))
.........With a knife .Hahaa.....

Foyle tonight Robinia ..woohooo.....
Have a good day all and I hope Mr W soon feels better .
Guuhd Day biddies (just practising on my Norwegian accent so Skavlan will like me). Still peeling are we. I was wondering, don't occupational therapists in Britain and Spain provide ergonomic aids and tools, they do here.

He he I'd make a 'Robi Finds A Chair' illustration like the Porker one I posted but I can't find your behind to begin with Robi;-) BTW those books I mentioned yesterday, I wasn't just chatting away, they really are good.

I say, you don't suppose jno and Vinny are married? Considering the revelations jno made the other day and the ones Vinny has made before. It's just a thought... seems to add up...

Well I'll probably spend the rest of the day peeling my feet for my orthopaedic appointment tomorrow. How I hope the insoles will help me. I soooo love walking.

...and resting afterwards http://i42.tinypic.com/2ni1y8i.jpg

Provision depends on where in the UK you live Kit (I am a retired OT) Often now they will make suggestions and maybe have stuff that you can try, then you go and buy it.
My professional experience is that peelers are one of the hardest things to get right and the most personal. I can only use the fixed blade not swivelly kind, my late MIL could only use a knife. that jonas thing I cannot get on with at all, or the kind that have the blade horizontal. If you have poor or painful grip a cheapo solution is to buy that spongey poystyreney stuff that you slip on waterpipes to insulate them and slip your knives etc into that. Two of us in the family are OT's and we tried all sorts when my mum lost her ability to grip (polymyalgia with deformity) but in the end she just struggled on as she found that easiest. Depressing i know.

PS DH is still asleep, hopefully he's getting better
I've just lost an important post here!!

I've discovered who jno is, it was jude who set me thinking. Look at the clues, A barrister and a criminal, always going to posh do's and abroad with kingies - ready???

v v v Look....................
IT'S CHERI BLAIR!!!!!

The chicken (roasted in it's own herbs and spices) was delicious, but the chips were to die for, I now feel very sick, as I overate. I told the woman in the shop that her chips were the beswt ever so she gave us extra. ugh!

Have an Eton mess for later...

Am downloading so many films that'll I be watching them for years to come.!

ha ha daughter texted me saying she was at her friend's house, and then the friend just phoned to speak to her, ha ha, so I called her, she is at another "friend's" house, (mum, don't tell dad!!). From not knowing what an adult club is she'll go to running one soon. Will have to have a strong word with her!!! What happened to her age of innocence!!!!
aagh, I am uncovered, I will have to get a new identity from the Home Office. How does Sam Cam sound?

Well, the hedge out front was looking lovely and lush so I have hacked it back to twiglets as it was starting to grow out over the pavement. It should recover quickly - unless these forecasts of frost come true, in which case I suppose it will die in agony.
cheri, oops I mean jno - your gardening style sounds exactly like mine and Mr N's, hack it back, it'll grow.

Does one have to cursey to you now Mrs??
http://i.dailymail.co...00190-351_468x286.jpg

Oh dear, some of the biddies curtseying to jno!
A very tatty and dishevelled daughter has arrived home - straight to bed - oh to be young!!
Chickens are born with their own herbs and spices in Spain?? Ha ha Neti they know what goes where they just don't know the euphemisms! (Daughters, not chickens.) (Although chickens probably don't know the euphemisms either.)

Had a feeling you'd mentioned having worked as an OT Woofy but wasn't sure.
Shaney, you know that Nella Last's Peace, can it be bought in an English Bookshop, as I can't get it from amazon they won't post to here now! Same with egg topper, although they did post the dvd and book of Housewife 49.
At school, we were taught the "facts of life" using illustrations of chickens! Our very spinsterist teacher told us there was no movements or pleasure involved! Think I'll sue the old school for permanently damaging my sexual health!!!! I love chicken! ha ha
