Does anyone know if any radio stations play music or comedy shows solidly throughout the night? or all day and night too?

I like to listen to music or comedy or stories, during the night when i am asleep and usually put a cd on a loop but i just wondered if i could just put the radio on.

preferably mellow music but any will do

(i will post this on other sections too as i am not sure where it should go)

many thanks

For comedy shows, try BBC Radio 7 (comedies, old radio series, drama), but it's digital so you'll need a DAB radio, or, if you have a TV with a freeview box in your bedroom, you should be able to pick it up on that. Only problem might be (as I found) that some radio stations have a logo or programme information on screen constantly, which can be a nuisance if you just want to listen in the dark. I think some freeview boxes give you the option to turn off the visual. (And yeah, I know I could have turned the brightness right the way down, but who wants to keep readjusting the screen settings every day?)
Further to Snook's answer, if you have a Freeview, Sky or Cable digibox, you should be able to get BBC Radio 7. Connect the 'Audio Output' sockets to the 'Audio Input' sockets on your hi-fi amplifier, or your music centre, and listen to it via that. Don't bother with turning on your TV.
