Mostly... you have to be more careful saying things in print though. It doesn't always come across the same way. But I have been surprised by a few ABers- in good and bad ways.

The ones I've met are as they are on here. You have to remember in real life you probably wouldn't be friends with someone with opposite views to yourself.

No doubt there are a few keyboard warriors and no doubt there are some that sound harsher in print than they are in real life.

In real life you often work with people or have friends close friends who have very different views on issues such as politics but you work around the differences, laugh at the differences or simply focus on the things you do have in common. On here people quite a few posters, mainly in News, seem to take entrenched positions, show intolerance and make caustic comments, but I am sure in real life would be more tolerant and form better relationships with their debating rivals
