The Manton Bay female (now known as Maya) has laid her first egg having mated with a new mate (28/10) this week as 5R has not returned. No hanging about there then!

Unattended & fertile nesting sites are in very high demand for any birds, and as the "resident" male has not returned , then Maya hasn't got the time to mope around, reproduction must carry on.

Good for her though!
