that's not an Irish Song, it's a song sung by a bloke with an Irish Accent.

Have to hit the hay now that the party has started..sigh..I leave you with the old irish blessing:

Thanks for that first vid, Flobadob.

I was going to post the version of 'Aon Focal Eile' by 'A Drop in Your Hand' but that one's just as good!

Your second vid is a new 'un (but a good 'un) to me ;-)

Dotty, I've got the album and it's definitely produced in Ireland!

Ummmm:
That takes me back. I used to love Val on the telly!
(I've got a version of 'Murphy and the Bricks' on CD. I've heard it many times but ity still provides a good laugh!)

I hope the Editor has a sense of humour, or else there won't be very many of the 'regulars' left around here soon!
Don't think I have ever heard Garth Brooks.
I am fighting the urge to post Riverdance (again) ;o)
Question Author
Sorry, Ummmm.

That must be a look-alike. It can't be the real Shane McGowan, since he appears to be capable of standing upright unaided ;-)

(It's a good post though, 'cos I love The Pogues)
Question Author
Go for it, Ena!

I've not seen Riverdance live, but I've got it on VHS. I also saw 'Spirit of the Dance', which was the 'sequel' to Riverdance, peformed live up in Molly's territory (Lowestoft)
I went to see The Pogues last December...fairwell tour :-(...anyway...he was brilliant...and more or less sober. The most sober I've ever seen him anyway...
I went to see Riverdance....I think it's something you have to see live to really appreciate it. Gave me goosebumps...

I was a bit of a dancer in my time...till I discovered boys :-(
Flob i looove the focal song lol we play at at home x
I was going to post a Daniel O Donnell link but i dont think i could watch him especially if he was wearing a red blazer.... lol
