Has anyone got one of these, When i took my 20 year old cat to the vets the nursed used one on my cat, it seemed to work really well as jess our cat does not like to be brushed I stroked her and the nurse was brushing her, they were priced at £36.00 at my vets and i am looking to buy one cheaper, on ebay they are selling FURminator and furminators and just want to know if there is any difference in product

I have one from ebay (Furminator) bought for £7.....absolutely briiliant on my Lab and Bull Mastiff. Vets are SO expensive!! x
There are loads on eBay at the moment, some for under a fiver for small animals!
The power of advertising! I just bought one after reading this :)
I nearly did, let us know if it's any good, karen!
they are brilliant
I will do Boxy - what with 2 cats and a dog I'm constantly overrun with pet hair so it's got to be worth a try :)
Us too karen, three great moulty mogs.... I can grow my own carpets, LOL.
I swear I could make a new dog on a daily basis from the stuff mine sheds!

This site is so good!!!
Brilliant for my GSD but no good for dogs that don't moult like Poodles or Schnauzers.
I've considered buying one of these but my girl just hates being groomed so I was going to wait until we go to crufts in March; on the assumption that one of the stands will be selling them and I will be able to try it first. If she won't allow it to be used, I won't waste my money.
I paid about £10 for one. It works okay on young Frankie but as he has short hair it isn't really him that I have problem with.

Princess Merlin (Slasher) is long haired and I think that it would work on her. But she paces back and forwards when I groom her and is pretty evil when she doesn't get her own way. I need something like a small cattle crush so that I can groom her properly and keep also keep my hands away from her teeth. She has no knots in her coat but she still looks like a giant ball of fizz.
