just posted this question i mustn't have clicked submit whoops

I wanted to know if anyone else had know of little ting insects in figs looking like tiny thin midges about 1 or 2 in each fig. There is no evidence that they got in the fig post rippening but I may be wrong. Can you get insects which get inside at an early stage?

Thanks in advance

insects of all sorts get in figs especially when they are nearly ripe, Just eat them, if you don't fancy eating raw insects then cook them, microwave does the job nicely.
