I witnessed a bull running event once - our of curiosity more than anything... and the animals are prodded HARD with pointed sticks to hurt them before entering the ring - to make them angry...

I've got no sympathy for the crowd - "people were forced to run for their lives"? - what the hell do they think that bull was doing then? Running for his life, poor tormented beast.. It's disgusting, no other word for it.
