bulldogs and pugs

What is the difference between a pug and a bulldog pup.My friend has a pug at first i thought that it was a bulldog i asked her the difference but she could not explain me .Can someone help me?

google on "pug" or "bulldog" for the answers, basically they are totally different breeds of dog

It's like asking hte difference between a pony and a horse. A pug is a whole different breed that has many similarities (smooshed-in face, stocky body) but is much smaller. Boxers also have that smooshed-in face, but they are taller, longer legged, more trim and muscular looking than bulldogs.
