Hi there, anyone got a good name for a Male Yorkie.

I pick him up in December, I think he is going to look like a teddy bear! I am stuck for names so any suggestions welcome.

Yourkshire, pudding, bear, pudsey, so Puds, pudding, or pudsey maybe.
Butch,,,,,,,,
Teddy
Edward
Paddington
Well I like Teddy or Edward, but I am rather biased, as my young man is named 'Tedward'. He did, and still looks like a cuddly teddy bear.
Tyke
I adopted a rescue dog from the RSPCA a few years ago.....it was a Yorkie/Chihuahua cross......they weren't too impressed when I suggested calling it Fang......
Novalis.......Tyke is quite a derogatory term.....
My dad calls every dog Fang LOL

I'm desperately thinking for you delbel, maybe it will be easier when you learn his personality a bit?
Actually most of our animals never get called by their proper name anyway, it's the tone you use
Craft 1948!

Tyke is the the usual nicknmae for the archetypal Yorkshireman or woman. It is in no way derogatory unless you are an Australian or Newland catholic.
Buddy
Bobby
Barney

I got stuck on the B 's.
I should have added, the Tykes is one of the nicknames for Barnsley Football Club.
Bartlett
Novalis..............I'm from York..........
Hi Craft 1948!!

None of my Yorkshire friends ( including two from York -- home of the best museum in Britain, and I don't mean Jorvik ) regard Tyke as being derogatory. Although I always ( jokingly ) say that the best thing out of Yorkshire is the M 62 back over the Pennines into Lancashire I'm not in the habit of using derogatory terms about anybody. Tyke is the usual nickname for a person from your county.
Novalis I am quite happy and proud to be a tyke and I know it is the accepted name for someone from Yorkshire.
However, the original meaning of the word is....a crude uncouth ill-bred person lacking culture or refinement
