Can you tame a fox

I was wondering if it is possible to domesticate a Fox?
Like for example if you were to get a fox as a puppy could you train it like a dog?

You can tame a fox,and when tamed they are much like a dog.
Having said this is it not wise (or kind) to attempt to keep a wild animal as a pet,unless that is it has been orphaned or abandoned.
We have a friend in Wales who has a fox(getting on now) that was orphaned and he has reared her most sucessfully as a pet.It lives in the house and acts (and has been trained) like a dog.
I say SHE as he has a vixen, a male fox also works,but has a very pungent "musky" scent when in season.
The only down side to the vixen is that th she "screams" when she is on heat,a very blood curdling and disturbing noise if you are not used to it.
Lucklily their nearest neighbour is about a mile away(they work for the Foresty Commission) so no problem there.
So,yes you can domesticate a fox,but it shouldn't be attempted really.

There is a fox famkly somewhere around - we know because a family a few doors away have fed him for years. Every night around seven in the evening, he wanders up their drive and waits for them to bring him his tea. If he is crossing the road and a car somes, he simply stops and looks at it, and waits for them to stop and look at him. Having esatablished territorial superiority, he saunters onwards either for tea, or back home.
Obviously he is 'trained' to be fed, but that's as far as he goes, and the estate population love to see him, and know he still has his 'wild' life as well.

Thank you both for your replies. I have to say we have or will never have the will to try and tame a fox. My girlfriend and I are both cat people. But we watched some advert with a fox in it and my Girlfriend wondered allowed.
I think we will stick with cats.......... Hmm I wonder if you can tame a tiger!
