I panted a honeysuckle last year. It has grown well & is now blooming. The problem is it has no scent, which was the purpose of growing it. Anybody know why this is and is there any hope that it will in the future.
Thanks

Not all honeysuckles are scented and you need to check when buying as it does not always say on the label. Perhaps you could grow another one and let it mingle in with the unscented one. Recommend Graham Thomas, flowers June to Oct, white flowers turning yellow, heavy scent. Belgica flowers May and June and sometimes again in late summer, highly scented or Halliana grows to 30 feet so be aware of its eventual size. This one is covered in fragrant white/yellow blooms from early summer.
I've got the yellow and white honeysuckle (don't know the name) but it has a lovely scent.. Not sure about the red one though..
