Does anyone know of any working farms in Bedfordshire, where we could take our Grandchildren? We've been to several that have nice little tea shops, with toys & handy crafts for sale - but I mean a working farm without all the trimmings. Thank you.

Sorry this is the most helpful thing I could come up with - it's not in Beds, but in Oxfordshire which isn't too far away and is a Farm Museum called Cogges, have a look here http://www.information-britain.co.uk/showPlace.cfm?Place_ID= 1863 I used to go when I was little and I think it's still fab!
Or this one! http://www.aboutbritain.com/CoggesManorFarmMuseum.htm My dad and his family were brought up on a farm but it was closed 2 years ago otherwise I could have arranged for you to go there, it was a hop farm with sheep, horses and a few pigs and cows. I used to love going there and me and my little bro had "our own" lambs to feed when the mother had too many. It was probably a different lamb each week but it was fun :)

natalie_1982 - Thank you so much for those two websites, they're both just what I was looking for. Oxford isn't too far from us & it will make a nice day out. I shall print them both out now & do copies for our two daughters too. We all love farms & I can't wait for spring to take the little ones there & see all the baby lambs, etc., they'll have a wonderful time I'm sure. Thanks again.

P.S. You & your brother must have had a really fun time growing up & being able to stroke, cuddle & feed all the animals.

No problem, I'm sure you'll all have a wonderful time :)
