Is it a bitch? Our afghan bitch used to eat her own....grosse. The vet said it was a basic survival thing with bitches. It's a food source!!!!!!
You must be saving a fortune on dog food!!!!!

My dog is 12yrs old and only just started doing it

She is fed a mixture of 1 tin and biscuit mix a day

Cats have same really wet food plus iams

Do you think she is still hungry or could she have a deficiency?

It is so gross and her breath!!!!!!!

It's very common. Cat poo is very high in protein and to dogs it's a real treat! A vet laughingly told me once that if a dog food manufacturer could make a 'poo' flavoured dog food they would be on a winner!! But I can't see many people actually buying it, even though their dogs might enjoy it!!

I havent really got an answer for you but i know this can be pretty dangerous for humans. When my mum was pregnant her dog had been eating cat poo which made my mum very ill with somehting called Toxplasmosis (sic?) and this could have put the unborn baby in danger so just be very careful.
