I believe that this is on on 24/25 Jan this year. Last year I did it online but my Dad does it via hard copy.
Can anyone advise whether we receive the forms automatically by email and/or post or do I need to organise getting them?
Thanks.

RSPB Members receive a copy of the form in their magazine. As you say you can complete the form on line, but you can also find a hard copy of the form in several magazines, and in some of the magazines which arrive with the weekend newspapers.

Thanks Schutzengel.
I do it as well - can't you print off a copy of the on-line form for your dad? (I don't know, it's only a suggestion.) have fun at the weekend! K x

Yes I could do that Kleiber but I wanted to know whether the forms would be sent out automatically. Thanks anyhow. I'm looking forward to counting them at the weekend too.
D'you think we'll all be posting (boasting???) on here again this year, after we've done it? I do hope so - it's lovely to see what everyone else has in their gardens!!

Oops, I forgot the robins, wrens and dunnocks!!
what a great list kleiber i forgot the 2 sparrows who come at dusk issy now sits on the window sill and meows at them all , i think she is telling them once the weather warms up 3 legs will be as good as 4 so look out birdies
whoops forgot the pair of jays this is the first time we have had gold crests( 4 )had to get the book out to see what they were!
You're lucky you've seen the goldcrests, ruthann - I know there are some living in the conifers in my field across the lane, I can hear them, but I haven't seen any for about 3 years.
I know I can't count this lot on Saturday, but I mustn't forget to mention the beautiful ravens, who fly overhead, displaying to each other, or the red kites, or my incredibly noisy tawny owls, who hoot and screech at each other for what seems to be all night!! K

Haven't seen the sparrowhawks this week, barns owls have been quiet too. Jackdaws are vocal but not yet visiting.

What's the betting they all go into hiding at the weekend?

Big flock of fieldfares in the tree over the road this week too!!
The stayed for about three minutes and then all flew off together.
