Did anyone ever have one of these, are they good, and do they still sell them??

The clock would send out a different bird call on the hour.

Soory to say my mum has one :-(

Tackiest piece of sh!te ever.
Still for sale, saw them in those free booklets with Sunday papers, for innovative gifts.

Mother had one but had to remove battery 'cause you had bird-calls all night. A short-lived novelty.

No, don't buy me one for xmas ;) Rather have Westminster chimes.
what time does the crow come out?...

pmsl I didnt expect such a massive response and well such a negative one as well.

Thanks for the link robinia and thanks guys for warning me off getting one lol
Suppose looking at the web site it wasnt to bad,i was thinking that u wanted to buy a cuckoo clock type of clock,we had one at work bloody thing used to go off every 15minutes and then on the hour, someone from nighshift, broke it into bits thank god!!!
Question Author
I thought it would be an informative way of knowing what hour it actually was, rather than the big ben 'dongs' which I would get bored of probably.

The rspca one has a light sensor though??
lol, I certainly wouldn't want a cuckoo at 2am & a woodpecker at 4am (see the enlarged pic)
Well meaning friends bought us one years ago when they first came out because my husband and younger son are keen 'birders'.
It is rather tacky but have got quite attached to it and as it's in the hall it only 'chimes' when lights are on or in daylight therefore we are not troubled by it at night.
Visitors think it's a 'hoot' (pardon the pun) and it's so awful it's cool (if you know what I mean!) ;-)
I got given one of those as a present , had to keep it for a bit (in the kitchen minus batteries ) charity shop donation then ......
Question Author
thanks for all these reviews its great to hear what people think, I can understand getting attached to it, you do with things round the house like that and when they break you really miss them.
lol Patricia - I've seen these advertised in the Sunday mag.

I love birdsong, but only in the garden, not from a clock - it would drive me batty! ;o}
what..the?... I can see you're still tempted... 'don't do it!!!'
U can get help to wean u off of these urges!!!
