No, don't be silly. Lipitor, like many other drugs in this category can lead to an increased risk of a condition that makes the muscles waste away, but this is easily reversed by stopping taking the drug and easily detected (as the muscles start to feel gradually weaker over a long period). The risk is small (1 in thousands) but can be influenced by taking other medication at the same time. Make sure your Doctor and pharmacist know about all the drugs you take (prescribed, bought and recreational) and listen to your body. Lipitor is one of the most commonly taken drugs today worldwide, many millions of people take it every day.
