Did the vet not say what the other two are for and why?

Main ones are usually the two some weeks apart.

How old is your puppy and how old was he at each injection? Could they have been done too early and need to be redone?
Agree with Jenna. It's usual to have two injections, with a couple of weks between them, and then a booster every year after that. They're usually given from about 8 weeks old, but can sometimes be given at 6 weeks, if there's a higher risk of the animal picking up a disease.
I should ask your vet exactly why he wishes to administer a further two injections, and find out what they're for.
Ditto above, one at around 10 weeks, another at 12 weeks, then annually thereafter. Although my vet likes to give a parvo booster at 5 months, not that I took him up on the offer with my last puppy. I also have kennel cough vaccine, but that is something they can do at the same time and the vaccine is put directly into the dogs nostrils.
